Abstract: Consumption of fresh plant materials estimated from production of faecal pellets and amount of excreted plant remnants as dry weight. Diet included grasses, mosses and microphytes, the latter two items reflecting adaptation to high altitude (e.g. above 200 m) where other plants are scarce.
