Record #98919:

Frost susceptibility of lime and cement-stabilized soils / K. Kujala.

Title: Frost susceptibility of lime and cement-stabilized soils / K. Kujala.
Author(s): Kujala, K.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Espoo: Technical Research Centre of Finland
In: Frost in Geotechnical Engineering. International Symposium, Saariselkä, Finland, 13-15 March 1989. Proceedings. (1989.), Vol. 2.
Abstract: Points out that, although cement stabilization reduces frost susceptibility of soft clay and silty till when compared to stabilization with lime, neither agent prevents frost heave; in fact, it appears to increase because of strength increase.
Notes:

In: Frost in Geotechnical Engineering. International Symposium, Saariselkä, Finland, 13-15 March 1989. Proceedings. Vol. 2. / Hans Rathmayer, ed.

Keywords: 624.139.22 -- Frost heave.
624.139.62 -- Permafrost control.
E12 -- Glaciology: frozen ground / snow and ice engineering.
