A two-dimensional model for meltwater infiltration in layered subfreezing snow / Peng H. Tseng, Tissa H. Illangasekare, Mark F. Meier, W. Tad Pfeffer.
Title: | A two-dimensional model for meltwater infiltration in layered subfreezing snow / Peng H. Tseng, Tissa H. Illangasekare, Mark F. Meier, W. Tad Pfeffer. |
Author(s): | Tseng, Peng H. Illangasekare, Tissa H. Meier, Mark F. Pfeffer, W. Tad. |
Date: | 1989. |
In: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1989.), Vol. 70(43) (1989) |
Abstract: | Presents physically based thermo-flow model for prediction of meltwater flow and wetting front propagation in subfreezing snow. Improvements on earlier model make it suitable for field applications involving large heterogeneous snowpacks for estimation of meltwater generation due to greenhouse effect. |
Notes: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 70(43) :1113 (1989). Abstract for AGU Fall Meeting, December 4-8, 1989. |
Keywords: | 556 -- Hydrology. 551.579.2 -- Water supply from snow. 551.509.3 -- Weather forecasting, bases and methods. 551.578.462 -- Snow cover, ablation. E11 -- Glaciology: glaciohydrology. |
