Title: Comparing the creep behaviour of spray ice and polycrystalline freshwater ice / Donald H. Shields, L. Domaschuk, E. Funegard, Bruce H. Kjartanson, Fethi Azizi.
Author(s): Shields, Donald H.
Domaschuk, L.
Funegard, E.
Kjartanson, Bruce H.
Azizi, Fethi.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: Proceedings of the Eighth International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering--1989--The Hague, The Netherlands, March 19-23, 1989. Vol. 4. Arctic and polar technology. (1989.),
Abstract: Compares primary and secondary creep behaviour of these ices. Polycrystalline ice was prepared and tested in laboratory at -2°C; spray ice was tested in situ at man-made Mars Island, north coast of Alaska. Considerable differences found.
