| Abstract: | Preliminary Standard S471 of Canadian Standards Association defines and guides on design load criteria for fixed offshore structures. Examined with regard to existance of physical, statistical and model uncertainties, and techniques are described to account correctly for these. Repercussions on reliability levels and design load values are discussed. |
