Abstract: | Sample preparation techniques and grain-size determination are explained in conjunction with operation of Fitzgerald apparatus. Real and complex components of shear modulus and loss tangent are presented as function of frequency along with shear-wave propagation velocity and shear-wave attenuation constants. |
