Record #98534:

Measuring the complex shear modulus of ice using the Fitzgerald apparatus / J.H. Clark, W. Maciejewski.

Title: Measuring the complex shear modulus of ice using the Fitzgerald apparatus / J.H. Clark, W. Maciejewski.
Author(s): Clark, J. H.
Maciejewski, W.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: Proceedings of the Eighth International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering--1989--The Hague, The Netherlands, March 19-23, 1989. Vol. 4. Arctic and polar technology. (1989.),
Abstract: Sample preparation techniques and grain-size determination are explained in conjunction with operation of Fitzgerald apparatus. Real and complex components of shear modulus and loss tangent are presented as function of frequency along with shear-wave propagation velocity and shear-wave attenuation constants.
Notes:
