Cylindrical Stefan problem sensitiveness to thermal and geometrical parameters / A.M. Cames-Pintaux, J. Aguirre-Puente.
Title: | Cylindrical Stefan problem sensitiveness to thermal and geometrical parameters / A.M. Cames-Pintaux, J. Aguirre-Puente. |
Author(s): | Cames-Pintaux, A. M. Aguirre-Puente, J. |
Date: | 1989. |
Publisher: | Rotterdam: A.A. Balkema |
In: | Ground freezing 88. Proceedings of the Fifth International Symposium on Ground Freezing, Nottingham, 28-28 July 1988. (1989.), Vol. 2. |
Abstract: | Summary of poster presentation. Aided by axisymmetrical, one-dimensional model of Stefan problem, systematic calculations show that, during first period of thermal process, thickness of frozen layer around underground chilled cavity is proportional to square root of freezing index in cavity. Results from numerical values can be of use in practical applications. |
