Record #98107:
The effects of freezing and desiccation on photosynthesis and survival of terrestrial Antarctic algae and cyanobacteria / Martin C. Davey.
Title: | The effects of freezing and desiccation on photosynthesis and survival of terrestrial Antarctic algae and cyanobacteria / Martin C. Davey. |
Author(s): | Davey, Martin C. |
Date: | 1989. |
In: | Polar Biology. (1989.), Vol. 10(1) (1989) |
Abstract: | Photosynthesis measured in algae Prasiola crispa and cyanobacteria Phormidium autumnale occurring in fellfields of Signy Island to monitor effects of freezing and desiccation with marked results: most notably, rate of photosynthesis in Prasiola was an order of magnitude greater than that in Phormidium. |
Notes: | Polar Biology. Vol. 10(1) :29-36 (1989). |
