Record #98089:

Is ozone destroyed during the Antarctic winter in the presence of polar stratospheric clouds? / Giorgio Fiocco, Walter D. Komhry, Daniele Fuà.

Title: Is ozone destroyed during the Antarctic winter in the presence of polar stratospheric clouds? / Giorgio Fiocco, Walter D. Komhry, Daniele Fuà.
Author(s): Fiocco, Giorgio.
Komhry, Walter D.
Fuà, Daniele.
Date: 1989.
In: Nature. (1989.), Vol. 341(6241) (1989)
Abstract: Reports ozonesonde measurements made at South Pole during austral winter 1988 which indicate sharp minima of ozone concentration in vicinity of polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs). May be evidence of either 1) role of dynamics in transporting air of different composition in conditions of substantial stability or 2) processes leading to ozone destruction during polar winter.
