Record #97999:

A numerical model for predicting the response of concrete gravity platforms to iceberg impact / Kjell Holthe.

Title: A numerical model for predicting the response of concrete gravity platforms to iceberg impact / Kjell Holthe.
Author(s): Holthe, Kjell.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Luleå: Tekniska Högskolan i Luleå
In: POAC 89 : the 10th International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions. June 12-16 1989, Luleå, Sweden [Vols. 1 & 2]. (1989.), Vol.1.
Abstract: Describes development of computer program (ISIS) for predictive purposes. Considers eccentric but radially directed impact with 6° of freedom of motion for iceberg and simple three-dimensional beam finite element model for platform. Model also includes simplified computation of local shell stresses based on uniform interaction pressure.
