The transfer function approach for a structure subjected to ice crushing / Gary W. Timco, Robert M.W. Frederking, S.K. Singh.

Title: The transfer function approach for a structure subjected to ice crushing / Gary W. Timco, Robert M.W. Frederking, S.K. Singh.
Author(s): Timco, Gary W.
Frederking, Robert M. W.
Singh, S. K.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Luleå: Tekniska Högskolan i Luleå
In: POAC 89 : the 10th International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions. June 12-16 1989, Luleå, Sweden [Vols. 1 & 2]. (1989.), Vol.1.
Abstract: Considers slender structure such as lighthouse. Test series performed in model basin, using model instrumented to measure ice forcing loads and foundation loads. Model, which, although slender, was designed to be completely rigid within itself, rests on compliant foundation. By using this experimental arrangement, general applicability and reliability of transfer function approach in ice crushing can be investigated.
