| Abstract: | Following 1980 advance of glacier across well-used tourist path, new study has been undertaken using past and more recent measurements. Possible to forecast probable future fluctuations in length by two methods: statistical, based on correlation between variations in length and mass balance, and one-dimensional numerical ice-flow model. |
