Record #97845:

Flexural uplift of the Transantarctic Mountains / Tim A. Stern, Uri S. ten Brink.

Title: Flexural uplift of the Transantarctic Mountains / Tim A. Stern, Uri S. ten Brink.
Author(s): Stern, Tim A.
Brink, Uri S. ten.
Date: 1989.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1989.), Vol. 94(B8) (1989)
Abstract: Presents an interpretation of geological structure at, and adjacent to, boundary between East and West Antarctica in terms of imposed lithospheric loads and flexural response of lithosphere to these loads, and identifies possible uplift mechanisms for Transantarctic Mountains. Based on seismic reflection and gravity data from Ross Embayment and published gravity, radio echo-sounding and geological observations from East Antarctica.
