Record #97739:

Seasonal variations of sea ice motion in the Transpolar Drift Stream / Mark C. Serreze, Alfred S. McLaren, Roger G. Barry.

Title: Seasonal variations of sea ice motion in the Transpolar Drift Stream / Mark C. Serreze, Alfred S. McLaren, Roger G. Barry.
Author(s): Serreze, Mark C.
McLaren, Alfred S.
Barry, Roger G.
Date: 1989.
In: Geophysical Research Letters. (1989.), Vol. 16(8) (1989)
Abstract: Assessed by interpretation of drifting buoy data for 1979-85 and meteorological fields for 1960-85. Although long-term mean ice drift in stream is toward Fram Strait, three years (1979-81) with adequate drifting-buoy data coverage show reversed ice motion over 30-d periods in summer. This is response to seasonally changing wind forcing.
