Record #97364:

Transmission of loads through grounded ice rubble / M. Sayed.

Title: Transmission of loads through grounded ice rubble / M. Sayed.
Author(s): Sayed, M.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Hanover, NH: US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory
In: CRREL Special Report. (1989.), Vol. 89-5 (1989)
Abstract: Examines role of grounded rubble field in transferring floating ice loads to offshore structures. Field and laboratory studies provide information concerning geometry of rubble fields, composition, and some stress measurements. Methods of estimating grounded resistance and other analyses that deal with stability of rubble fields are discussed.
Notes:

CRREL Special Report. Vol. 89-5 :259-275 (1989).

Part of report prepared by IAHR Working Group on Ice Forces on Structures. Originally presented in Vol. 2 of proceedings of 9th International Symposium on Ice, held in August 1988 at Sapporo, Japan.
