Record #97360:

An introduction to the measurement and interpretation of dynamic ice loads on compliant structures / R.M.W. Frederking.

Title: An introduction to the measurement and interpretation of dynamic ice loads on compliant structures / R.M.W. Frederking.
Author(s): Frederking, R. M. W.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Hanover, NH: US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory
In: CRREL Special Report. (1989.), Vol. 89-5 (1989)
Abstract: Some fundamental factors in behaviour of flexible structures subjected to various types of ice loading are introduced. Terminology is presented and various aspects of basic equations of motion of compliant structures are discussed. Measurement of dynamic response of structures, analysis using transformation between time domain and frequency domain, and interpretation of results are treated. Recommendations are made on methods of measurement. Results of laboratory tests are used to illustrate these methods.
