Abstract: Australian scientist Paul Fraser concludes that emissions of halons exceed industry and US EPA estimates and finds that concentrations in the atmosphere increased by about 20% a year worldwide between 1980 and 1986. Other scientists estimate that halons cause up to 10% of the Antarctic ozone hole.
