Record #97134:

A comparison of deep Antarctic ice cores and their implications for climate between 65,000 and 15,000 years ago / Jean Jouzel, and 9 others.

Title: A comparison of deep Antarctic ice cores and their implications for climate between 65,000 and 15,000 years ago / Jean Jouzel, and 9 others.
Author(s): Jouzel, Jean.
Date: 1989.
In: Quaternary Research. (1989.), Vol. 21(2) (1989)
Abstract: Based on isotopic profiles, data from ice cores (Byrd, Vostok, Dome Circe) are compared for main part of last glacial period. Time scales were examined in detail and new 40 ka chronology for Dome C core adopted. Special emphasis on link between concentrations of ¹⁰Be and past accumulation changes, and on use of peaks in concentration of this isotope as stratigraphic marker. Elevation changes of ice sheet, derived from gas content and isotopic data, bear directly on interpretations of past temperature and precipitation rate changes.
Notes:
