Record #97052:

Source and origin of Roxana silt and Middle Wisconsinan midcontinent glacial activity / W. Hilton Johnson, Leon R. Follmer.

Title: Source and origin of Roxana silt and Middle Wisconsinan midcontinent glacial activity / W. Hilton Johnson, Leon R. Follmer.
Author(s): Johnson, W. Hilton.
Follmer, Leon R.
Date: 1989.
In: Quaternary Research. (1989.), Vol. 31(3) (1989)
Abstract: Presents evidence rejecting suggestion of H.A. Winters and others (ibid., Vol. 29, No. 1, 1988, p. 25-35) that Roxana silt in central and south-west Illinois is not related to glacial activity. Believes that valley-train source is most probable and urges continued consideration of Middle Wisconsinan glaciation in upper Great Lakes area.
