Airborne radar survey of a brash ice jam in the St. Clair River / Steven F. Daly, Steven A. Arcone.

Title: Airborne radar survey of a brash ice jam in the St. Clair River / Steven F. Daly, Steven A. Arcone.
Author(s): Daly, Steven F.
Arcone, Steven A.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Hanover, NH: US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory
In: CRREL Report. (1989.), Vol. 89-2 (1989)
Abstract: Jam was profiled in February 1987 using helicopter-borne short-pulse radar operating at 500 MHz. Measurements of total brash-ice thickness estimated from results were greater than direct shipboard measurements. Reasons for this are discussed. Technique holds promise.
