Abstract: Opportunity arose in 1988 to instrument offshore hole with precision multithermistor cable and automatic data logger. Hourly temperatures were recorded for 23 days. Describes deployment of cable in hole and presents example of data acquired. Analysis and interpretation of data will follow.
