Record #96867:

Mechanisms of wet and dry deposition of atmospheric contaminants to snow surfaces / Cliff I. Davidson.

Title: Mechanisms of wet and dry deposition of atmospheric contaminants to snow surfaces / Cliff I. Davidson.
Author(s): Davidson, Cliff I.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Chichester: John Wiley & Sons
In: Environmental record in glaciers and ice sheets : report of the Dahlem Workshop on The Environmental Record in Glaciers and Ice Sheets, Berlin 1988, March 13-18. (1989.),
Abstract: Wet deposition dominates; process of nucleation and role of riming are important. Because complexities of deposition are poorly understood, ice-core data can provide rough estimates only of past airborne contaminant levels. Requires better deposition model input data on characteristics of both atmospheric contaminants and clouds in polar regions.
Notes:

In: The environmental record in glaciers and ice sheets : report of the Dahlem Workshop on The Environmental Record in Glaciers and Ice Sheets, Berlin 1988, March 13-18 / Hans Oeschger, Chester C. Langway, Jr, eds.
