Record #96798:

Oceanography of Maxwell Bay, the King George Island: short-term variation of chemical property of water and the sedimentation of particulate matter in the glacially-fed Antarctic coastal waters / Gi Hoon Hong.

Title: Oceanography of Maxwell Bay, the King George Island: short-term variation of chemical property of water and the sedimentation of particulate matter in the glacially-fed Antarctic coastal waters / Gi Hoon Hong.
Author(s): Hong, Gi Hoon.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Seoul: Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute
In: Antarctic science : geology & biology; proceedings of the First International Symposium on Antarctic Science, November 4-5, 1988, Seoul, Korea. (1989.),
Abstract: Variation in water chemistry in a shallow marine inlet monitored over 24-hour period in February 1988; upper layer variation attributed to wind action, deeper layer influenced by tide. Sedimentation of particulate matter suggests significant non-biogenic material input from adjacent land.
Notes:
