Record #96786:

Synoptic analysis of Arctic ice-atmosphere interactions using satellite microwave data / Robert George Crane.

Title: Synoptic analysis of Arctic ice-atmosphere interactions using satellite microwave data / Robert George Crane.
Author(s): Crane, Robert George.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Ann Arbor, MI: University Microfilms International
Abstract: Electrically scanning microwave radiometer data are used for period Sepember 1973 to December 1974 to analyze short-term spatial and temporal variability of sea-ice conditions in European and Beaufort/Chukchi sectors of Arctic Ocean. Being unaffected by clouds or darkness, sensor allows continuous, all-weather, synoptic analyses of sea-ice distributions.
Notes:

PhD thesis, University of Colorado at Boulder, 1981.

Keywords: 551.326.12 -- Floating ice, distribution, seasonal.
551.326.021 -- Floating ice, satellite sensing.
