| Abstract: | Cyclic changes that have characterized Earth's climate throughout Quaternary may be illustrated by developments during last such cycle. Quantitative reconstruction of continental climate over this period improves correlation between marine and land records, and emphasizes role of post-temperate forested episodes at beginning of ice-sheet formation. |
