Sauna, shower, and ice water immersion. Physiological responses to brief exposures to heat, cool, and cold. Part 3. Body temperatures / Kyllikki Kauppinen.

Title: Sauna, shower, and ice water immersion. Physiological responses to brief exposures to heat, cool, and cold. Part 3. Body temperatures / Kyllikki Kauppinen.
Author(s): Kauppinen, Kyllikki.
Date: 1989.
In: Arctic Medical Research. (1989.), Vol. 48(2) (1989)
Abstract: Experiments with nine subjects. Exposures to sauna impaired thermal homeostasis, increasing body core temperatures to levels approaching heat stroke. Ice water immersion alone did not seem to disturb thermal homeostasis of body core.
