Abstract: Laboratory tests carried out to evaluate susceptibility of three agricultural soils in north-central Italy to frost action by measuring changes in aggregate stability to water. Also determines extent to which organic matter from cattle manure can be used as soil conditioner to reduce adverse effect of cyclic freezing and thawing on soil aggregates.
