| Abstract: | Reports observations of nearly 1000 icebergs in 1986-87. Results suggest that careful use of statistics of iceberg observations can provide information on dissolution rates and processes, but it is unlikely that Antarctic mass balance can be estimated from iceberg distributions with any accuracy. |
