| Abstract: | Describes midwinter, airborne, X-band SAR image characteristics of pack ice, multiyear landfast sea ice, and ice shelves of northern Ellesmere Island, and near-real-time detection of massive calving from Milne Ice Shelf, Ellesmere Island. Use of SAR for detection and characterization of tabular Arctic icebergs was also demonstrated. |
