Ice accretion in the Barents Sea - instrumentation of the "Ross Rig" / I. Borthwick, N. Riley, P. Strass, S. Løset.

Title: Ice accretion in the Barents Sea - instrumentation of the "Ross Rig" / I. Borthwick, N. Riley, P. Strass, S. Løset.
Author(s): Borthwick, I.
Riley, N.
Strass, P.
Løset, S.
Date: 1988.
In: Norwegian Hydrotechnical Laboratory. Bulletin. (1988.), Vol. 28 (1988)
Abstract: Superstructure icing was examined by instrumenting semi-submersible rig over winter 1987-88. Programme required design and development of remote equipment for sustainable collection of air temperature, wind speed and spray flux data and measuring thickness of ice. Paper describes packages and their performance.
