| Abstract: | Seabird investigations were carried out from 1986-1988 in connection with planned oil and gas drilling in Barents Sea. Four parts were: censuses of breeding populations on Bear Island, Sørkapp Land, Tusenøyane and southern Edgeøya; mapping of migration of guillemot chicks and their parents from colonies out to sea; mapping of distribution of moulting ducks and geese along coasts; mapping distribution of seabirds in open sea and in leads in ice throughout year. |
