Abstract: | Article gives overview of physical anthropological investigations. On Amsterdamøya grave of seven whalers who died in winter 1634-1635 was found. On Ytre Norskøya 50 graves were dug up. All corpses were male from 15 to 65 years old. 36 showed scurvy. |
