Record #95244:

Glaciomarine fan deposition in the Champlain Sea / D.R. Sharpe.

Title: Glaciomarine fan deposition in the Champlain Sea / D.R. Sharpe.
Author(s): Sharpe, D. R.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: St John's, Newfoundland: Geological Association of Canada
In: Late Quaternary development of the Champlain Sea basin. (1988.),
Abstract: Discusses relationship between coarse- and fine-grained fan sediments. Glaciomarine environment tends to promote accumulation of muds close to ice margin. Association of fine-grained (mud) sediments and ice-margin deposition was observed with glaciomarine sediments on Victoria Island, NWT, and supports case for Champlain Sea deposits being ice-proximal.
Notes:

In: The Late Quaternary development of the Champlain Sea basin / Nelson R. Gadd, ed.
