Record #95218:

Design and behavior of composite ice-resisting walls / Peter F. Adams, T.J.E. Zimmerman, James G. MacGregor.

Title: Design and behavior of composite ice-resisting walls / Peter F. Adams, T.J.E. Zimmerman, James G. MacGregor.
Author(s): Adams, Peter F.
Zimmerman, T. J. E.
MacGregor, James G.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Fairbanks, AK: University of Alaska Fairbanks, Geophysical Institute
In: Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 1. (1988.),
Abstract: Exterior walls of Arctic offshore structures are subject to large, concentrated ice forces. Composite steel/concrete walls have been proposed as cost-effective solution to resisting such forces. Presents results of tests on behaviour and failure mechanisms of composite walls.
Notes:

In: Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 1 / William M. Sackinger, Martin O. Jeffries, eds.

Proceedings of Ninth Conference (POAC-87) on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions, held at University of Alaska, Fairbanks, AK, 17-21 August 1987.

Keywords: 624.145.1 -- Floating ice, thrust.
624.145.5 -- Floating ice, bearing strength.
