Heat transfer performance of commercial thermosyphons with inclined evaporator sections / Frank Donald Haynes, J.P. Zarling.

Title: Heat transfer performance of commercial thermosyphons with inclined evaporator sections / Frank Donald Haynes, J.P. Zarling.
Author(s): Haynes, Frank Donald.
Zarling, J. P.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: OMAE 1988 Houston. Proceedings of the Seventh International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering. Vol. 4. Arctic engineering and technology ... presented at ... Houston, Texas, February 7-12, 1988. (1988.),
Abstract: Used to control permafrost temperature during building construction. Presents results of laboratory tests on two full-size, commercially available thermosyphons, one charged with NH₄ and other with CO₂ as working fluids. Heat transfer performance presented as function of wind speed and inclination of evaporator section.
