Record #95175:

A mesoscale air-ice-ocean feedback mechanism for the ice drift in the marginal ice zone / P.C. Chu.

Title: A mesoscale air-ice-ocean feedback mechanism for the ice drift in the marginal ice zone / P.C. Chu.
Author(s): Chu, P. C.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: OMAE 1988 Houston. Proceedings of the Seventh International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering. Vol. 4. Arctic engineering and technology ... presented at ... Houston, Texas, February 7-12, 1988. (1988.),
Abstract: Thermally generated surface winds, blowing from ice to water, force ice drift and ocean currents near marginal ice zone (MIZ). By changing surface temperature gradient, ice motion and ocean currents feed back on surface winds. Coupled air-ice-ocean model for MIZ is used to discuss ice drift pattern with this feedback mechanism.
