Record #95033:

Temporal variation of freezing degree days in Danish domestic waters / F.T. Christensen.

Title: Temporal variation of freezing degree days in Danish domestic waters / F.T. Christensen.
Author(s): Christensen, F. T.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Fairbanks, AK: University of Alaska Fairbanks, Geophysical Institute
In: Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 3. (1988.),
Abstract: Analysis, based on available data. Set of parameters describing exponential distribution is derived on basis of accumulated freezing degree days for winters 1907-1986. Standard and maximum deviations from regression curve are evaluated (helpful when designing structures since ice thickness is closely correlated with amount of accumulated freezing degree days)
Notes:

In: Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 3 / William M. Sackinger, Martin O. Jeffries, eds.

Proceedings of Ninth Conference (POAC-87) on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions, held at University of Alaska, Fairbanks, AK, 17-21 August 1987.

Keywords: 551.524.37 -- Frosts.
551.509.32 -- Frost and rime, forecasting.
E9 -- Glaciology: meteorology and climatology.
(261.2) -- North Sea.
(489) -- Denmark.
