Record #95031:
Thickness, keel depth and consolidated keel depth in sea ice, Gulf of Bohai, China / Shu-qi Deng.
Title: | Thickness, keel depth and consolidated keel depth in sea ice, Gulf of Bohai, China / Shu-qi Deng. |
Author(s): | Deng, Shu-qi. |
Date: | 1988. |
Publisher: | Fairbanks, AK: University of Alaska Fairbanks, Geophysical Institute |
In: | Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 3. (1988.), |
Abstract: | Mathematical formulae for sea-ice extent and thickness are derived for this area from air and water temperature, water depth, distance from coastline, geometrical properties of ridge, physical oceanic elements relative to ridge, and physical processes relative to forming sea ice and ridges. Results compared to observations and discussed; have proved useful for forecasting and engineering applications in this area. |
Notes: | In: Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 3 / William M. Sackinger, Martin O. Jeffries, eds. Proceedings of Ninth Conference (POAC-87) on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions, held at University of Alaska, Fairbanks, AK, 17-21 August 1987. |
