Record #94979:

Incorporation of inorganic carbon by Antarctic cryptoendolithic fungi / Robert J. Palmer, Jr, E. Imre Friedmann.

Title: Incorporation of inorganic carbon by Antarctic cryptoendolithic fungi / Robert J. Palmer, Jr, E. Imre Friedmann.
Author(s): Palmer, Robert J.,
Friedmann, E. Imre.
Date: 1988.
In: Polarforschung. (1988.), Vol. 58(2/3) (1988)
Abstract: Fungi isolated from cryptoendolithic community of Ross Desert (McMurdo Dry Valleys) capable of fixing inorganic carbon. Results of laboratory experiment suggest that lichen mycobionts and parasymbionts are adapted to different water regimes in the cryptoendolithic environment.
