Abstract: Photoinhibition of Grimmia antarctici during summer at Casey, East Antarctica, indicated by reduction in photosynthetic capacity, photosynthetic efficiency, photochemical quantum yield and rate of fluorescence quenching when plants exposed to moderate light at low temperatures. Suggests that photoinhibition is a major factor limiting bryophyte productivity in Antarctic ecosystems.
