| Abstract: | In four subsequent winters, 1981-82 to 1984-85, ice conditions round island in Canadian Arctic were investigated with regard to ice-formation process, material properties and load on island. Idea was to use island as model of wide, fixed, offshore structure of similar dimensions and to apply surface integral method to measurements of biaxial stress. |
