Record #94950:

The properties of EG/AD-model ice in VTT ice basin / Eila Lehmus.

Title: The properties of EG/AD-model ice in VTT ice basin / Eila Lehmus.
Author(s): Lehmus, Eila.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Trondheim: Tapir Publishers
In: Polartech '88. International Conference on Technology for Polar Areas, the Norwegian Institute of Technology, Trondheim, Norway, 15-17 June 1988. Proceedings. (1988.), Vol. 2.
Abstract: Several ices tested and that developed by G. Timco, National Research Council of Canada, was chosen. Timco included three dopants: ethylene glycol (EG), aliphatic detergent (AD), and sugar, but latter was excluded in this case. Main research was on finding EG concentration so that flexural strength drops to 140-150 kPa before warming up ice cover. Research will continue on crushing strength.
