| Abstract: | Reviews present status of use of remote sensing data in sea-ice monitoring, and presents possible image-processing methods of combining remote sensing data of different resolutions, and also with in-situ data. Presents operational forecast model for Barents Sea, and discusses principles of data assimilation in numerical models to increase forecasting accuracy. |
