Abstract: Ice load tests were carried out on four types of models: rectangular indenter, cylinder, cone, caisson. Both level ice and first-year ridges were used. During experiments, ice force records were obtained for all tests and failure behaviour of ice around models was monitored. This paper deals only with vertical cylindrical structure in level ice.
