Record #94909:
Dynamics and morphology of the Barents Sea ice fields / Torgny Vinje.
Title: | Dynamics and morphology of the Barents Sea ice fields / Torgny Vinje. |
Author(s): | Vinje, Torgny. |
Date: | 1988. |
Publisher: | Fairbanks, AK: University of Alaska Fairbanks, Geophysical Institute |
In: | Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 1. (1988.), |
Abstract: | Review. Drift statistics from automatic buoys have been calculated, and sonar profiles of bottom topography are reproduced together with autocorrelation functions. Ice ridges of first-year ice are observed to act as sediment traps over shallow shelves. |
Notes: | In: Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 1 / William M. Sackinger, Martin O. Jeffries, eds. Proceedings of Ninth Conference (POAC-87) on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions, held at University of Alaska, Fairbanks, AK, 17-21 August 1987. |
