Abstract: Quick and accurate method developed, by which data are mapped from image, using digitizing equipment, and located and plotted on conventional map projection. Trace of cursor is converted to latitude and longitude coordinates. Results can be printed out on base map of any scale and merged with data from other sources. Example handles development of ice cover in Bering Sea in February-April 1984.
