Record #94898:

The use of polysulphide rubber moulds to measure ice roughness / R.H. Goodman, A.G. Holoboff, T.W. Daley, L.D. Murdock, M. Fingas.

Title: The use of polysulphide rubber moulds to measure ice roughness / R.H. Goodman, A.G. Holoboff, T.W. Daley, L.D. Murdock, M. Fingas.
Author(s): Goodman, R. H.
Holoboff, A. G.
Daley, T. W.
Murdock, L. D.
Fingas, M.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Fairbanks, AK: University of Alaska Fairbanks, Geophysical Institute
In: Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 1. (1988.),
Abstract: Measurements of ice roughness at ice-water interface in Beaufort Sea. Describes techniques used and methods of analyzing data. Roughness is small-scale but is significant in calculating retarding force on motion of ice floes and contributes to retention of oil spilled under ice.
Notes:

In: Port and ocean engineering under Arctic conditions. Vol. 1 / William M. Sackinger, Martin O. Jeffries, eds.

Proceedings of Ninth Conference (POAC-87) on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions, held at University of Alaska, Fairbanks, AK, 17-21 August 1987.
