| Abstract: | Describes construction and purpose of large-scale atmospheric indices designed to characterize synoptic scale forcing circulation in Shelikof Strait area. Three indices discussed are: cyclone frequency and persistence; surface vector winds in conventional u-v coordinates; surface vector winds in rotated coordinate system. |
