Abstract: Describes methodology to evaluate marine transportation system required to export oil from ice-infested region. Model was developed for analysis of ship operations in ice and main components are summarized. Database of icebreaking vessels has also been completed to support model. Illustrated by application to scenario in Canadian Arctic.
