| Abstract: | Based on materials from scientific-practical conference held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy in November 1981, to discuss present and future development of fishing industry, fuels and energy complex, agriculture and work on food programme, development of mineral and other raw material resources, construction of industrial facilities and public amenities, and environmental protection in Kamchatskaya Oblast'; and 4th All-Union conference on "Approaches to Intensification of Agriculture and Resource Exploitation in the Far North", held in Magadan in September 1980, which covered crop cultivation, plant and vegetable growing, feed production, meat and dairy cattle, herd horse and northern reindeer breeding, poultry, hog and fur farming, veterinary science, mechanization, economics and organization of agricultural production, nature protection, resource exploitation, and rational use of biological resources.
